DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a business intelligence engineer for a high visibility role supporting Prime Video Sports. This role sits within the finance & strategy org, and provides opportunities for impactful contributions to the Prime Video business. Business intelligence engineers partner with finance, strategy, and other stakeholders to solve complex problems, including, reporting & tooling automation, business analysis, and strategic planning. This role will oversee reporting and analysis of major sports properties, such as Thursday Night Football and UEFA Champions League.

- Partner with Finance and Strategy managers to design reports and analyses which answer important business questions.
- Build impactful, scalable data pipelines and automated reporting products.
- Produce meaningful, timely, and actionable analyses to inform sports business decisions.
- Design and implement metrics to measure effectiveness of new products.
- Work with data engineers, economists, and product managers to optimize PV reporting and analysis infrastrctutre and operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree
- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
- Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
