Now, we have an opportunity for a materials scientist of lithium-ion battery who has a strong business sense to enable the development of new innovative battery materials that are tailored for system performance requirements, through effective communications skills and vendor management skills. You will be expected to provide part of the entire leadership over a network of technology development partners, innovative technology companies, and with our internal cell development team to plan and execute a collaborative development program to achieve energy storage roadmap goals by providing outstanding materials solutions.

Description

-Collaborate cell vendors and material supplier to endeavor new material solutions to complete high energy density next generation LIB realization under ambitious timelines as a part of entire development team. -Conceive original material designs with implementation plan and documentation. -Figure out key factor, procedures, measurement way, and create Definition, solutions for materials, process and cell design. -Produce and coordinate required budgets and forecasts. -Identify potential external partners, assess their technologies, and take the role of communicating and establishing partnerships on strategic technology initiatives with your internal partners. -If required, build interactive partnerships also with external R&D institute.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS degree.
  • Experience with material development, cell designing, or evaluation for lithium-ion or advanced lithium batteries.
  • The ability for travel around 4 times per year for international supplier connections.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS or PhD.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Direct experience in material design and development from initial concept to MP stage.
  • Strong understanding on the correlation between battery system performance and battery material designs.
  • Familiarity with current state of the art materials knowledge that applicable to next lithium rechargeable cells especially cathode and anode active materials stabilization against electrolyte decomposition.
  • Experience with advanced testing equipment and procedures to verify and understand advanced battery material designs and process technologies.
  • Experience with analytical method and data proceeding of battery materials to utilize improved new materials solution or design of above.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
