Description
Are you passionate about advancing the future of Spatial Computing, Augment Reality (AR), and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies? Are you eager to develop software platforms that empower novel user experiences in artificial intelligence (AI)? Are you excited by the prospect of integrating AI experiences to expand the capabilities of AR/VR and Spatial Computing?
As a valued member of our team, you will contribute in the following ways:
- Define, design, and develop software platforms that enable AI-driven experiences for Apple’s AR/VR technologies
- Understand the end-customer use cases, design, and develop software solutions to ensure they are tailored to enable the required experiences
- Develop early prototype software solutions in a simulation/emulation environment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple teams at Apple, driving requirements and delivering the final solution
- Deliver shipping-quality software solutions
- Analyze and optimize the code to optimize its efficiency in terms of power and performance.
- Debug hard-to-reproduce issues.
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent degree or relevant experience
At least 5 years of experience developing and shipping software solutions
Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Swift, Obj-C, C++, C
Extensive understanding of operating system fundamentals (including memory management and concurrency)
Creative critical thinking and debugging skills
Excellent analytical, programming, and debugging skills
Strong understanding of how code impacts power efficiency and performance of existing systems
Experience building and shipping product code
Preferred Qualifications
Experience debugging applications and libraries
Deep understanding of iOS and/or macOS system libraries, frameworks, and technologies
Expertise with Swift concurrency APIs
Experience developing products based on ML / AI models
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
