Technical Solutions Consultant, Android OEM Partner Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 6 years of experience in either system design or in one programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.).
• 6 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
  
• 6 years of experience in software technology or technical partner management in Android or other Linux-based embedded systems.
  
• 2 years of experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering or technical consulting.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in Android platform or application development.

About the job

The Android Partner Engineering team (APE) works closely with the Android device ecosystem to extend the boundaries of the Android platform. The team is engaged with OEMs, carriers, chip-set vendors and Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) across the globe and work in a changing technology driven environment.

As a Technical Solutions Consultant in Android Partner Engineering (TSC in APE), you will serve as the engagement manager responsible for the success of key Android and Google apps partnerships with Android OEMs. You will lead deployments, optimize implementations and integrations to drive new business opportunities, and manage the technical aspects to build strong, successful, and long-term Android partnerships. As a technical expert, you will leverage a broad set of tools and technologies to deliver and optimize solutions that align with the strategic business objectives of the product in the Android ecosystem.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Responsibilities

• Advocate new features and policy with Google's products including Google Mobile Services
  (GMS) apps and Android, resolve technical tests promptly, and ensure enablement and launches of the products in quality.
• Ensure the seamless integration and customization of a partner’s solution by providing the necessary technical guidance.
• Improve Android product features, by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including product management, business development and engineering.
• Oversee engineering projects with partners, ensuring they stay on track and are completed as planned by creating and maintaining project plans, driving issue resolution, and facilitating communication for alignment and necessary escalations.
