We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Resource Access/Cloud PKI team within Intune, to build cloud services that operate at high scale and availability, with opportunities for technical leadership. As a senior member of our team, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of highly scalable and reliable software components, drive technical strategy, and mentor engineers.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirments:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifcations:
- Programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or C++
- In-depth knowledge of distributed systems design principles, scalability patterns, and high-availability architectures
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to debugging and performance optimization
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile teams and leading technical discussions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree a plus
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership:
- Lead technical design and architecture discussions for Ring 0 Services
- Drive technical roadmap and vision for Ring 0 Services, aligning with Intune's overall strategy
- Collaborate with product management to define and prioritize project backlogs
- Software Development:
- Design, develop, and deploy distributed systems software components in Ring 0, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance
- Write high-quality, maintainable code, and review contributions from engineers
- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing:
- Mentor engineers, providing guidance and oversight on complex projects
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring knowledge sharing and best practices
- Innovation and R&D:
- Explore emerging technologies and trends, assessing their impact on our distributed systems and services
- Drive proof-of-concept projects, demonstrating innovative solutions and technical expertise
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations
- Communicate technical vision and roadmap to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
