In this critical role, you will play a key part in the integration of motion/location sensors for the next generations of Apple products including iPad, iPhone, Watch, and Vision Pro. You will lead definition and integration of state-of-the-art sensing technologies such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, pressure sensors, and magnetometers, while working with world-class engineering teams. As the engineering program manager you will lead teams and innovate from feature development to mass production.
The Motion Sensing EPM team features a collaborative environment and works closely with other cross-functional teams across Apple on cutting-edge technologies. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, process, reliability, and software engineering to deliver state-of-the-art sensing solutions and integrate them into new platforms
- Own executive communication and drive the decision-making process with engineering partners
- Own program plan/schedule and execution to integrate motion sensors into Apple products
- Prioritize objectives and direct the team to deliver on what matters
- Ensure tight inter-team coordination and communication, and make sure we stay on pace while managing risks
- Efficiently and proactively react to unexpected changes and issues
- Manage vendor relationships and drive key engineering activities such as performance validation, yield optimization, and failure analysis coordination
- Support product builds, monitoring and addressing system level yield and reliability issues
- Support internal proof-of-concept hardware and software developments for new application investigations
- Help develop motion sensing roadmap and technology investigations
