We are looking for a Safe Linux platform architect for our Tegra System Software Team in Santa Clara, with a good understanding of Linux kernel, ARM architecture, low level system software technologies like virtualization. Candidate is encouraged to collaborate with product owners and DriveOS elements to communicate and drive technical alignment in the Safe Linux initiative. Additionally, engage with distro vendors in timezone to help us develop fast, robust and safe systems used in Automotive, Embedded and Data Center products. What you will be doing:
Drive architectural discussion with DriveOS and other product owners, architects for Linux based platforms focused on safety, security and quality
Work with Linux distro vendors to align safety, security and quality needs for DriveOS
Represent NVIDIA in the Linux safety initiatives in the open source community
Contribute and support development of work products for Safe Linux
Establish leadership in PST for Linux platform activities to foster future growth
What we need to see:
BS/MS or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering.
10+ years of experience with device driver design and development on embedded systems.
Excellent C programming, scripting (Python) and debugging skills.
Solid understanding of computer architecture, operating system fundamentals.
Experience developing drivers on Linux, QNX, or other RTOS on 32/64-bit ARM SoC.
Hands-on experience with Debugging Tools JTAG, DSTREAM.
A strong teammate; self-motivated with positive demeanor.
Demonstrates leadership through module or project ownership.
Recognized internal / external specialist.
Defines modules or projects for a department.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Background with ISO26262 or other safety standards
Experience with ISO21434 or other security standards
Collaborate with Linux community in upstreaming efforts
