We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated LED Display Engineer with strong technical background on semiconductor devices to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for design and development of LED display panels for cutting-edge products throughout the display development cycle.
Description
- Work on LED panel and pixel design, development and optimization to meet performance requirements
- Conduct comprehensive panel and pixel level testing to identify issues, perform failure analysis to understand root causes, design experiments for improvement. Strong analytical skills required to draw solid conclusions
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams including optical, electrical, mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration with final product
- Develop and maintain documentation of technical specifications, design and testing procedures
- Interact with external vendors for production scaling, design for manufacturing to maintain qualify and cost-effectiveness
- Troubleshoot and resolve display-related issues during the product development lifecycle
- Manage project timeline to meet deliverables in time
Minimum Qualifications
PhD degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Optics, or a related field
Experience with design and measurement techniques of optoelectronic devices
Experience working in the cleanroom on semiconductor processing
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of industry experience in Photonics, Semiconductor, or a related field
Technical expertise in III-V semiconductor device physics, e.g., LEDs, lasers, photodetectors or a related field
Critical thinking and trouble shooting skills
Ability to drive results on tight schedules
Experience in using statistical tools (JMP, etc.) and programming languages (Python, MATLAB, etc)
Ability to facilitate effective multi-functional collaboration
Experience to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Ability to own areas of responsibility, being able to self-motivate
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
