The APS Marketplace Services team is seeking an experienced BI Engineer who will build tools and reports that analysts, engineers and account managers can use to uncover opportunities that drive demand through our publisher and vendor connections. You own our report building and automation platform, and key, high reliability data sets. You will be the engine that accelerates insight creation across our organization by making it easier to access data and transform it into information. To be successful in this role, you will have to obsess over our workflow and process and then invent and simplify methods for us to work better. You are a report automation expert and a process optimizer who makes the most out of available resources to make things easier for themselves and others.
Key job responsibilities
* Manage a library of python functions to extract and load data to and from a variety of sources
* Build and manage pipelines that create simplified datasets which input into reports and frequently done analyses
* Define and build report automation processes including the monitoring, alerts and fixes to pipeline failures
* Evangelize the tools you’ve built to maximize their use
* Network across Amazon Ads to discover and magnify BI best practices
* Play an active role in strategic & operational planning discussions

- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
