Are you passionate about health and eager to apply your app development experience in creative ways that enable new and meaningful research? The Health Special Projects team is searching for an iOS Software Engineer. We work together to study behavior and health trends to establish feasibility of new features and inspire future product and service designs. In this position, you will design and implement iOS features and applications to explore new products and services for Apple Health.

Description

As a vital member of the Engineering team, you are responsible for helping to build and test new features and health studies. Your flexibility is essential to implementing creative solutions that connect our researchers to study participants. In addition to crafting efficient, testable, easy-to-maintain code, you embrace the importance of writing functional specifications and design documents. You will also: • manage time and expectations while balancing requirements for quality • love collaborating within the team and across groups • partner closely with other engineers and research leads to ensure well organized study operations • privacy and security are always top of mind for you, and you’re motivated by enabling more and better research that helps people live a better day This is a site-based position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 7+ years of proven experience with Swift
  • Comfortable working in Objective-C
  • Detailed understanding of software design fundamentals

  • Proven track record of self directed research
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Growth mindset, comfort with multi-tasking
  • Broad interest spanning from early prototyping to shipping finished features
