The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the facility support operations team for a broad suite of process tools in a semiconductor wafer research facility. The person will have a good understanding of processes and tools typically used in the semiconductor industry; including MOCVD, photolithography, thin film deposition, plasma and wet etch. Working knowledge of general HVAC and wafer fab support equipment and facilities is required, as well as familiarity with the operation of software and hardware control systems, basic electronics, cleanroom mechanical systems, waste treatment systems and deionized water systems.
The facility operations leader is responsible for establishing systems for equipment training, safety, lab operations, maintenance and repairs of support equipment. The person will be required to interact with internal cross-functional teams, external partners, government agencies, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
They will participate in rotating on-call duties monitoring and responding to gas life safety systems, fire alarms, and critical facilities alarms. It will require working on weekends and holidays to plan for and provide hands-on coordination of major facilities equipment repairs, maintenance, modifications, and installations.
