Apple’s Biophotonics Group is seeking a scientist for analysis of clinical datasets. The candidate will join a team of innovative scientists and engineers to design, validate, and implement the next generation of bio-sensing technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with analysis and interpretation of datasets collected from optical sensing devices that interact with skin and other biological media.

Description

• Lead for day-to-day assessment of dataset quality and performance results during ongoing clinical studies • Analyze, interpret and report on study data conducted with biophotonics prototypes • Uncover what causes data variations and their impact on measurement performance • Explore complex datasets creatively to uncover hidden patterns, trends and insights • Develop advanced understanding of biophotonics instrumentation, tissue optics and algorithm development

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS degree in mathematics, science or engineering
  • MATLAB or Python programming ability for data analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS degree with 4+ years industry experience or PhD
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing/interpreting biomedical sensor data from humans
  • Interest and ability to learn principles of biophotonics instrumentation
  • Experience with multivariate analysis techniques such as PCA and linear regression
  • Experience using Git and maintaining code repositories
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
