Description
The Software Location QE team undertakes special projects for the Sensing and Connectivity groups at Apple. These projects have ranged from developing data crowdsourcing systems to prototyping apps & features for future OS releases. Our team is looking for an engineer manager with deep understanding of GNSS/WiFi and other RF location technologies to continue to improve the performance and robustness of our proprietary system. In this role you will work closely with hardware and software developers to ensure features are developed with high quality and performance.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of solid understanding of GNSS/WiFi or other location technologies
5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, guiding teams toward excellence, leading cross-functional team collaboration & communicating with executive team
Deep understanding of QA methodologies and automation strategy
Excellent written & verbal communication skills and summarizing test results and escalations
Strong mentoring skills and a commitment to team development
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of scripting languages: e.g. python, shell scripting
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to triage issues, prioritize, and propose actionable solutions
Experience in developing comprehensive test plans, assessing risk, identifying defects, and generating detailed test reports
Ability to thrive in a reciprocal environment and can communicate clearly while expertly driving multiple projects
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
