Apple is looking for a world-class Engineering Program Manager to join our Panel Technologies Engineering Program Management team for iPad and Home products! We are responsible for leading new innovative display panel and module design & manufacturing process technology development to solve complex design challenges that have a direct impact to future products, quality, and delivery of Apple Displays & Touch technology. Individuals in this role will serve as a focal point to work with our display panel and module engineering team as well as Material, ME and EE teams in our display organization. We work in a fast pace environment where individuals are self-motivated. The successful candidate is a problem solver with ability to outside of their respective technical area to get results!
Description
- Display EPMs must be strong organizers and excellent leaders with multiple teams throughout Apple and external suppliers. The ideal candidate must excel in independent work with minimal direction, contribute to strategy setting, adhere to schedules, and efficiently manage status and issues. This position demands technical strengths in many areas, including optical, mechanical, electrical, material science, and manufacturing.
- Define project plans and schedules. Drive project execution.
- Lead internal and external cross-functional teams in engineering and validation activities
- Ensure tight inter-team coordination and communication
- Strong presentation and communication skills required
- Understand and communicate complex technical issues
- Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies and program issues quickly and efficiently
- Lead development budgets and engineering builds
Minimum Qualifications
BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
Ability to travel internationally up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications
Strong engineering background, with experience working in a fast paced environment with various cross functional teams
Capability to drive international suppliers
Experience in consumer/portable products
Experience working with off shore suppliers and manufacturers
Knowledge of optical film and display panel material and process
Experience in hardware design, manufacturing, manufacturing automation Equipment and/or OCA & adhesives in module process
A working understanding of high volume manufacturing processes
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
