Power Team is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead its Triage team in San Diego. In this role, you will own and develop an automated power triage platform, crafting rules and models to detect power issues across Apple Products. You will also collaborate with various teams at Apple, spanning numerous layers of the software stack, to drive fixes and ship the Operating System to billions of our customers with exceptional battery life and thermals. This position provides the opportunity to significantly influence one of the most critical aspects of our products.

Description

The ideal candidate must be technically strong and will be expected to provide technical direction for the team. The responsibilities will include: * Leading a team of high-performing engineers in an innovative and dynamic environment * Driving all aspects of technical development, from gathering requirements to successfully delivering features * Collaborating effectively with multiple teams and building consensus * Mentoring team members to achieve their best potential

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in developing production software (C, C++ or Python)
  • Strong system level understanding
  • Proactive and self motivated with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Strong technical leadership and ability to inspire team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Excellent debugging skills to solve challenging problems
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and managers across technical domains
  • Strong foundation in software design and architecture
