Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in software development.
3 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
Experience with software development in C++.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience architecting and developing large-scale distributed systems, concurrency, multithreading and synchronization.
Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex distributed systems.
Experience with database internals, database architecture, development, and database programming.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Define and design software features in collaboration with Google customers and Spanner leadership.
Deliver and implement technical solutions in collaboration with other engineers.
Test, document and roll out features for Spanner.
Design, develop, and debug large-scale distributed systems and infrastructure.
