As the engineering program manager you will oversee and coordinate specifying, developing, characterizing, integrating, and validating wireless charging sub-systems inside of products. The Power Tech EPM team features a collaborative environment with other multi-functional teams such as battery, thermals, and system architecture teams to facilitate system integration and cross-functional communication for the inductive sub-system. Engineering excellence, technical curiosity, pro activeness, innovation, and thoroughness are expected and encouraged. Working without constraints to design and ship innovative products with best-in-class technologies and user experiences is the main goal of this sensing technology team at Apple. Come, join us in crafting solutions the world doesn’t know of yet!
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WOULD INCLUDE:
Lead and align multi-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, software, and firmware engineering to deliver best in class charging solutions.
Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams such as battery, thermal, and system integration teams to ensure tight coordination and communication.
Coordinate and work closely with firmware and software teams that enable charging control and algorithms for the wireless charging subsystem.
Help deliver executive (VP level) communication/presentations and drive the decision-making process.
Define the program plan/schedule and manage program execution to integrate the wireless sub-system into Apple products such as iPhone, iPad, and Watch. Efficiently and effectively react to unexpected changes in the plan due to outside influences and/or issues that arise.
Work with suppliers to manage and support engineering development builds leading to mass production, tracking yields, addressing issues, and facilitating communication.
Work with internal and system teams to keep track of engineering activities such as performance validation, yield optimization, and failure analysis coordination while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Support internal proof-of-concept hardware and software development for new application investigations.
Work with engineering management to define the wireless charging roadmap.
