Device Certification Engineer Intern (BA/Masters)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Device Certification Engineer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Regulatory and Industry Compliance & Certification team and XFN partner to ensure our products meet regulatory/Industry standards and certifications. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in hardware compliance, testing, and work with advanced technologies in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Device Certification Engineer Intern (BA/Masters) Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting compliance testing for hardware products against Regulatory and Industry standards (FCC, CE, BT-SiG and DOE/CEC). Document and report test results, identifying any deviations or non-conformities.
  • Support the preparation and review of regulatory documents and certifications. Maintain accurate records of compliance-related activities and results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and production, to ensure compliance requirements are integrated into the product lifecycle. Conduct research on emerging compliance standards and provide recommendations.
  • Help organize and manage compliance lab testing schedules.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline compliance processes. Contribute to internal training resources to enhance understanding of hardware compliance standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of electronic components and hardware systems.
  • Experience working with Bluetooth and WiFi technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op.
  • Familiarity with hardware compliance standards and protocols (e.g., FCC, CE, BT-SiG, WFA).
  • Experience with testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters.
  • Prior internship or project experience in hardware compliance, or testing.
