As part of our Silicon Technologies group, you’ll help design and manufacture our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC). You’ll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. Joining this group means you’ll be responsible for crafting and building the technology that fuels Apple’s devices. Together, you and your team will enable our customers to do all the things they love with their devices. In this highly transparent role, you will be at the center of a multimedia IP design effort collaborating with all disciplines, with a critical impact on getting functional products to millions of customers quickly.

Description

As IP Design engineers, we contribute across several key areas of Apple’s Neural Engine design: - Microarchitecture development - Collaborate in high level architecture discussions, conduct feasibility analysis, and create detailed microarchitecture specifications. - RTL design - Development and refinement of RTL implementations to meet functional, power, performance, and area targets. - Integration & verification - Work with multi-functional teams (front-end integration, DV/FV, and silicon validation) to ensure timely and successful integration, functional verification, and silicon bring-up.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of BS + 3 years relevant industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of computer architecture, particularly systolic array processing and architecture for parallelism
  • Prior experience with complex IP design, with a focus on high speed, lower power, energy efficient IP
  • Proficient in Verilog HDL and familiarity in C/Python/Perl programming languages
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to lead and collaboration
