The Watch Division System EPT drives and owns our complex prototype Build Matrix - the recipe card for the combination of parts and designs we will build configuration by configuration throughout these major build events. These massive matrices (200+ configurations and 1500+ component options) are complied by gathering information and dependencies from Technical resources/Engineers, Module owners, EPMs, EPSs, and GSMs across the entire Watch cross functional community. The System EPT then integrates these plans into an easy to follow set of instructions (Build Matrix) for our lower level suppliers and system level CM partners to execute. Further the System EPT acts as the leader among the procurement, EPS, and GSM communities in supporting all material, logistic, and financial aspects of our Watch System prototype builds.
Description
- Drive cross-functional teams towards consensus of requirements and interdependencies between different parts and design options. Encode those dependencies into the Build Matrix where possible, track manually where not.
- Lead complex material availability discussions (Clear to Build meetings) with EPS and CM teams to review status of execution plans. Negotiate CTB related changes with technical EPMs and engineering teams as needed to ensure build input can continue with no downtime.
- Manage CM EPS and business teams and resources to support ever changing build priorities and requirements.
- Succinctly communicate overall CTB (clear to build) status to System EPM and management teams on regular basis (daily during build events).
- Present overall build CTB projections and risks to executive management during BRRs (Build Readiness reviews).
- Own budget for the system level prototype builds. Work with CM on quotes/invoices and approvals from Apple teams and drive PR/PO process.
