The Core Platform Bring-up team within Apple's CoreOS organization is looking for an extraordinary software engineer to work on state-of-the art technology, debug, and bring-up of next generation Apple devices. This group is committed to building fully integrated operating systems that combine hardware, software, and services into a single Apple experience. In this role, you will have the chance to work on many core technologies for Apple products and make a major impact in how they are developed and shipped. Your dedication to cross-disciplinary collaboration will help develop groundbreaking technologies across Apple’s product line. Description

Work with multi-functional teams to support requirements for a wide variety of Apple products. Bring-up, verification, and debug of new SoCs and hardware platforms. Develop firmware, drivers, and hardware abstraction layers. Drive product features and functional/industry specifications. Involvement in specification for hardware platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A genuine passion for embedded development.
  • Highly proficient in C/C++.
  • Knowledge of hardware platforms & processor architectures.
  • Bachelorʼs degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to deliver proven work on tight schedules.
  • Excellent collaborative skills.
  • Experience with JTAG and other debuggers.
  • Previous experience writing embedded device drivers.
  • Previous experience with platform bring-up or porting of operating systems.
  • Previous exposure to hardware and processor simulation.
