As a software engineer on the Apple Watch Activity team, you will be responsible for building extraordinary fitness and mindfulness features. You'll work closely with the Design and QA teams to develop software of superior quality that will empower millions of users to live their best lives. Description

The Activity team is responsible for bringing comprehensive and engaging fitness and mindfulness experiences to watchOS and iOS. As an engineer on our team, you will build and expand features across multiple levels of the engineering stack. This includes app development, background process management, and the integration of cross-functional capabilities. - Writing high-quality, well-tested, and performant code to enable new features. - Architecting systems that are extensible, adaptable, and stand the test of time. - Collaborating with Design, Product Marketing, Health, Motion, and QA teams on technical and product decisions. - Creating amazing experiences on low-powered, highly-constrained platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in CE/CS or equivalent experience required.
  • Excellent Swift coding ability.
  • Experience building user interfaces in SwiftUI.
  • Deep commitment to product quality.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
  • Enthusiastic about working on a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An interest in building consumer applications in the Fitness space.
  • Experience optimizing applications and profiling throughout the stack.
  • Experience improving and expanding on existing complex projects and systems.
