The Microsoft 365 admin center team builds the administrative experience for all Microsoft 365 commercial users. We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our team. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Design and development experience in web and RESTful services.
- Experience in one or more web application dev frameworks like Angular, React, Redux, etc.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience designing, implementing, and shipping high scale distributed web services using C# or Java.
- Experience with distributed systems and a cloud technology stack such as Azure or AWS.
- Proficiency in computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, great teamwork, and passion to delight customers.
- Ability to motivate and work with other developers.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.

Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with the product management and partner teams.
- Work across teams to implement the features and work needed to improve customer satisfaction.
- Define, drive and execute development of features in the M365 Admin Center.
- Design and Develop: Take end-to-end ownership of the development of features and services, ensuring high reliability, testability, sustainability, privacy, security, and accessibility standards
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs
- Code Quality and Testing: Write efficient, high-quality code and perform thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve the engineering process, assure quality, and manage risks, dependencies, and trade-offs. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
- Customer Focus: Be customer-obsessed and data-driven in decision-making. Run experiments, analyze data, and use insights to drive product improvements and enhance the user experience
