Our group is looking for a highly motivated Performance Engineer to optimize software design for Apple’s latest products, including the next generation of Apple Watch, AirPods, iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Description

As a key member of Connectivity Firmware Performance team you will work on software design, testing and optimization from early prototypes until productization! The work involves devising performance evaluation methodologies on SW/HW prototypes, analyzing logs, and making recommendations for implementing in software based on trade-off analysis at a system & product level.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong understanding in one of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Thread, or related protocols
  • Background or research experience in RF, Digital, and Wireless communications
  • Experience working with wireless sniffers and protocol analyzers to debug and root cause issues
  • Experience with Python for testing, data analysis, and visualization
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite
  • BS Electrical engineering, Computer engineering, Software engineering, or Computer Science

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with power, performance trade-off analysis
  • Experience with CPU profiling and optimizations
  • Programming in C or C++ is a plus
  • MS or PhD is a plus
  • Approach problems flexibly, adjusting strategies as needed for practical solutions.
  • Focus on priorities and drive efforts toward achieving results.
