The drive inverter design team is passionate about producing designs with world-class performance that are manufactured at a massive scale.

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Power Semiconductor Device Engineer to join us in the development of cutting-edge technologies from concept to mass production. You will have the opportunity to contribute to traction inverter power electronics design. 

The level of this position will be determined at the time of the interview. 

What You’ll Do
  • Develop experiments and statistical trade-off studies to analyze device performance and lifetime such as time dependent dielectric breakdown
  • Characterize, develop, and validate high voltage power semiconductors device model for traction inverter applications
  • Develop screening methods for power semiconductors
  • Measure and analyze data including switching waveforms, losses and thermal performance
  • Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, PCBA, reliability, manufacturing and firmware engineering teams to optimize inverter performance
  • Collaborate with both internal and external suppliers to develop next generation power semiconductors
  • Solve challenges at scale to achieve industry-leading performance in the world’s highest production volume EV drive inverters
What You’ll Bring
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, physics, or equivalent experience
  • Comprehensive understanding and background of power semiconductors including SiC-MOSFET / semiconductor physics and/or electronics engineering
  • Experience with high voltage applications >300V
  • Experience with scripting for data processing and test automation, e.g. MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW
  • Proficiency with standard EE tools (scopes, network analyzers, signal generators, DAQs, etc.)

    Expected Compensation

    $84,000 - $216,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
