What to Expect
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Silicon and Package Reliability Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of our silicon and package products, from design to manufacturing. This includes developing and implementing reliability tests, analyzing failure data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential reliability risks. 
What You’ll Do
  • Reliability Test Development and Execution: Develop and execute reliability tests for silicon and package products, including but not limited to: High Temperature Operating Life (HTOL), Temperature Humidity Bias (THB), Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Latchup, Package-level reliability tests 
  • Failure Analysis and Root Cause Identification: Analyze failure data from reliability tests and customer returns to identify root causes of failures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions
  • Reliability Modeling and Simulation: Develop and maintain reliability models and simulations to predict product reliability and identify potential reliability risks
  • Design for Reliability (DfR): Collaborate with design teams to ensure that reliability considerations are incorporated into the design process
  • Manufacturing Process Qualification: Qualify manufacturing processes to ensure they meet reliability requirements
  • Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that their products meet our reliability requirements
  • Reliability Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze and report reliability data to make product decisions, including but not limited to: Reliability test results. Failure rates, Mean Time To Failure (MTTF), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) 
  • Industry Standards and Regulations: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as JEDEC, AEC, and IEC
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality teams, Communicate reliability results and recommendations to stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
  • Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience 
  • Experience: Experience in silicon and package reliability engineering, industry standards such as JEDEC, AEC, and IEC, and making product based decisions balancing time and cost 

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of semiconductor physics and device operatio, Experience with reliability test development and execution, Familiarity with failure analysis techniques (e.g. FA, TEM, SEM), Proficiency in reliability modeling and simulation tools (e.g. SPICE, Monte Carlo), First principles understanding of real product needs beyond the standards

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

    Expected Compensation

    $128,000 - $222,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
