Join our cutting-edge iPhone Hardware Engineering team as a System Hardware Engineer and help shape the future of iPhone technology. We are looking for a driven engineer who is passionate about advancing SOC system technologies. In this role, you'll work with a collaborative team of experts to analyze, characterize, and validate key features related to SOC design in iPhone systems. You will play a critical part in optimizing SoC architecture and system integration solutions for the whole iPhone product line.
Description
Drive system-level optimization of SoC power, thermal, and performance to push the boundaries of iPhone design.
Hands-on involvement in SoC silicon bring-up, debugging, testing, and validation at the system level.
Collaborate with multi-functional hardware and software teams to support system validation, failure analysis (FA), and factory testing.
Play a key role in all stages of the project lifecycle, from concept to production, solving complex challenges with creativity and enthusiasm.
International travel opportunities will be available to support different stages of development and production.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
2+ years of relevant industry experience
Proven foundation in Electrical Engineering with excellent problem-solving skills.
Hands-on experience in SoC/system-level bring-up, testing, and debugging.
Familiarity with lab equipment to measure SoC power, performance, and thermal aspects.
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python
Preferred Qualifications
A passion for engineering with demonstrated initiative, creativity, and innovation.
Expertise in mobile SoC architecture, power, performance, and thermal characterization at the system level.
Familiarity with power management ICs (PMICs) and mobile system power delivery design.
Knowledge of high-speed interfaces like USB3, PCIe, MIPI, and low-speed interfaces like I2C, SPI, and GPIO, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug interface issues.
Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
