The Subscriptions and Infrastructure Team builds the foundational support for all Apple and Developer Subscription products available on App Store, Apple TV, News, and Music.
Our team is searching for an exceptional Senior Engineering Program Manager who can start fast and lead sophisticated technical and business projects with demanding timelines. Our ideal candidate will be familiar with taking ownership and accountability for their projects and feel a personal stake in the product shipped. They will thrive in uncertainty and strive to bring order to it. They will come with deep wisdom and judgement and keep their eye on the ball.
In this role, you will get an opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of opportunities from long-term strategic projects for Apple to near term business initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on marquee new features and product launches for our services, including the App Store, Arcade, Apple Music, TV+, News+, Fitness+, iTunes Stores, Books, Podcasts and more. You will play a pivotal role in crafting and driving the engineering for Subscription and infrastructure Capability Team that include developing systems that provide precise pricing calculations, availability and royalties, as well as enable functionality of various offer and promotional tools available to developers.
Description
Maintain current year roadmap and assist in the prioritization of projects and improvements keeping alignment between the various business, product, engineering and QA organizations
Deliver projects on-time and in scope
Lead important aspects of each project including scope, design, resource allocation and all technical dependencies, providing a bridge with other engineering and EPM teams
Own overall cross-functional schedules, in particular detailed engineering and QA timelines
Drive the execution phase of every project, monitoring radar, and ensure open items are acted on timely
Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Legal, Finance, Operations, Design and other organizations both inside and outside of Apple to develop solutions for project challenges
Communicate project status and progress regularly to appropriate stakeholders and leadership, calling out risks and uncertainties to product management as identified
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management in software development
Own and drive multiple large scale, sophisticated projects and make a difference in the projects you drive
Naturally accountable and responsible, fostering trust and building authentic relationships
Self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient
Extraordinary communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) to an organization
Strong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings)
Strong technical proficiency, fierce attention to details, relentless at follow up and demanding of quality
Strong Excel and Keynote skills. Proficiency in adopting project management and collaboration tools
BS/MS/MBA or equivalent work experience in Business, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management Science
Preferred Qualifications
Programming skills a plus (JSON)
Experience in global commerce platforms, pricing, partner tools, tax or banking preferred

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,000 and $278,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
