The CoreOS Debug Technologies team strives to empower engineers with actionable debugging data from all failure modes. We do this through collaboration, pushing design for debuggability, enhancing existing and creating new data pipelines, and ensuring we meet a continuous standard of high quality through robust testing.
Our team is looking for an experienced test engineer to help us ensure the quality of System Integration Debugging for Apple’s product lines.
Description
The ideal candidate is proficient with Python 3, familiar with software development in general, system-level software in particular, and has shown a history of strong collaboration with their software team.
Your main focus will be test & test framework development and deployment of tests on prototype systems. A secondary focus will be triaging test failures. We work with systems in all phases of development, from pre-silicon bring-up to already-shipping systems. So you’ll be developing tests that will run across simulation, FPGA, new products, and existing products. You’ll be working as a peer to the software team maintaining existing and developing new debug features for Apple’s line of products
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 2 years professional Python 3 development experience
Experience with the development and deployment of automated and manual white-box testing
Experience with continuous integration frameworks and a git-based development flow
Experience with firmware, device driver, and/or kernel-level test development
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on approach and willingness to take on new challenges
A demonstrated QA Mindset - the ability to look at technology, spot its weak spots, and find ways to break it
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience developing and validating debug tools
Lab management experience
