The Wallet, Payment and Commerce teams Quality Engineering teams are responsible for the quality of Wallet and payment products for the Apple WPC Organization. For this creation of role we are looking for a Senior Engineer in charge of redefining the testing approach and develop new frameworks and tools leveraging new technologies.
Description
As Apple Pay Software Developer in Test Engineers, we work closely with developers, data scientists, external partners, and other quality engineers to guarantee high quality products, as well as ensure existing features meet our customer’s expectations in each software release. To be successful in this role you should be experienced developer with strong Data Science fundamentals as well as programming fundamentals.
This role involves collaboration with teams at Apple focused developing automated solutions to test on Device Insights products.
You will:
Develop tools, metrics, and datasets for assessing and evaluating the accuracy of On-device Insights testing.
Architect and develop scalable platforms to support the deployment and operation of Apple Pay ML services and applications.
Own the design and implementation of distributed systems that are resilient and secure.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, ensuring efficient performance and reliability across multi-cloud environments.
Minimum Qualifications
In-depth knowledge and experience on Test Automation planning, execution, and triage for projects on client to server.
Have data-driven testing experience
Comfortable working in a continually changing and multifaceted environment and driving top issues to resolution
Self-sufficient with an ability to thrive in an environment of autonomy amidst ambiguity.
Understand CI/CD
Passion to building scalable software solutions for testing
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools to ensure high availability.
BS or MS in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient of in either Python, Java, or C
Excellent data analytical skills.
Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following technologies: Hadoop ecosystem, Kafka, Cassandra, Spark, SQL
Experience in Data mining tooling.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
