We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer passionate about building automation to streamline development processes and the Continuous Integration pipeline. We're a friendly team of problem solvers, debuggers, and engineers. This is an opportunity to work in an extremely talented team with the engineers and scientists who deliver technologies underpinning Location, Motion and Connectivity technologies. In this position, you'll be a key contributor working on projects which support multiple, large teams of engineers during all stages of software development. You will be working with engineers to automate, scale, and innovate on our unique development tools and the integration process to maintain peak productivity, to ultimately help build the best location experience for our customers. This is a unique opportunity to work with engineering teams to profoundly impact the quality and efficiency of software delivery.

Description

You will be contributing to our unique continuous integration automation system, learning and applying technologies which address the many teams' high-level and low-level system needs. Responsibilities for this role include: Automate verification of source and build quality before integration Work with cross-functional teams to solicit automation requirements Write automated tools to facilitate and improve CI capabilities Extend functionality of existing utilities to monitor for patterns and trends in build/test jobs Triage, prioritize, and react to events requiring configuration change Build tools to enhance bug tracking and code review integration Produce unified solutions that scale and apply to many development teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • A genuine passion for problem solving
  • Excellent scripting skills, preferably in Ruby or Python
  • Proficiency with Git version control and shell scripting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Mac and/or Unix development and debugging tools
  • Familiarity with automated build, continuous integration, and test automation systems
  • Experience with Apple tooling and development practices is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Machine Learning, statistical analysis and/or data analysis is a plus.
  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
