The Product Realization Lab is looking for an entry level 3D printing specialist who will be responsible for preparing, printing and processing 3D printed models. Maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of 3D printing technologies are also key responsibilities. Our department is dynamic and processes are evolving quickly. As a 3D printing specialist, you must be comfortable balancing multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
Description
The core model making aspect of the 3D printing specialist role involves importing and preparing digital 3D files, configuring and submitting jobs to print, removing support structures, and finishing models as required to meet customer needs.
The ideal candidate will be well organized and detail oriented, able to accurately follow operational and routine maintenance instructions, have the ability to quickly learn about new processes, and optimally communicate the status of projects on a regular basis. Minimum Qualifications
Previous experience with 3D printing
Excellent troubleshooting and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and a focus on ensuring the highest quality product
Able to work independently or as part of a larger team
Preferred Qualifications
Programming experience in 3D Sprint and NETfabb
Prior experience with UV photopolymer, SLA, and SLS 3D printing processes
Good with your hands and can work with small objects precisely
Self-motivated and a self starter
