The Apple PRL is seeking a CNC prototype machinist who will be responsible for preparing materials, setting up the CNC Mill/Turn machines, programming tool paths, and spot checking finished components, all while maintaining quality and safety standards.

As a CNC prototype machinist with the PRL you will be able to work independently on assignments that require considerable judgement and initiative and as part of a larger team that works closely to ensure the highest quality product.
The ideal candidate will be well organized and detail oriented, able to accurately follow operational and routine maintenance instructions, have the ability to quickly learn about new processes, and optimally communicate the status of projects on a regular basis. Minimum Qualifications
Experience setting up, operating, and programming a CNC machine in a 3D CAD/CAM environment
Ability to program complex 3D parts
Experience holding close tolerances and validating critical features and dimensions using hand metrology equipment
Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years experience in multi-axis Mill/Turn operation and programming
Programming experience in Esprit
Knowledge of G and M codes
Experience using horizontal and vertical saws, manual mills and lathes
Ability to apply and advise on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances
Experience reading, interpreting and applying detailed part drawing requirements
